Arts Integration

Since 2015, our mission has been "to affirm and prepare our students to be their authentic selves through the arts." As a middle school that serves and reflects the entire city, our students and teachers work joyfully alongside one another in a unique, whole-school, arts-integrated model of teaching and learning. The arts afford all students the opportunity to explore their world while making meaningful contributions to themselves and their community along the way. When our students arrive at Dogwood, they become a part of a winning culture where all students find success—from the basketball court to the stage and beyond. Teachers embrace the Kennedy Center model for arts-integrated teaching within all classrooms throughout the year.
